Forage is a real food enterprise based in Imphal, Manipur. We have a restaurant at Thangmeiband which serves hearty real food inspired by Continental and Neighbourhood cuisines.
We have also started working on a line of ready-to-serve products available in convinient packages across Imphal and beyond. Our first offering is a range of bottled Kombucha, a probiotic health drink made by fermenting sweetened red tea with a particular microbial culture. A favourite among our restaurant patrons for around three years, it is now available at major departmental stores across Imphal.
We are working on making many more such healthy, natural, preservative-free, additive-free food products available to health-conscious consumers in the near future.

We strive towards a food system popularly known as Real Food. It is food which truly nourishes producers, consumers, communities and the earth. It is a system – from seed to plate – that fundamentally respects human dignity and health, animal welfare, social justice and environmental sustainability.
We are still a long way from achieving it, but we earnestly work towards it with the support of our patrons.
